Last game of the Spring Season

We won this game quite comfortably. If the season ran throughout the summer, it would be fair to say that we could have won most of our remaining games. Unfortunately, that is not to be, and Newton FC will have to reconstruct again in September 2007 after the departure of some of its players.

Today we ran, hustled, harried, passed the ball and moved it around, and most of all, shot at goals. The more you shoot at goal, the more likely you are to score. I also think the referee favoured the other team - we should have had 2 penalties, Sebastian's goal should have stood and their goal was off-side. But when you win 3-1, you shouldn't really complain, I guess!

Final game of the Spring Season, and we won 3-1
(Photographer's Note: Sebastian's belly looks smaller than mine, but he has sucked his stomach in for the photo)

Sebastian - He was angry because the referee did not allow his goal to stand after he had dribbled 3 players including the goalkeeper, fell, and shot. (Apparently, we are not allowed shoot when we are lying down on the ground!!!!!)

Ricardo and Aldo looking very happy. What's up?
(What the @%&*!)

Gustavo scored a beautiful 22 yard curler today. Like Aldo said, 'This is the Gustavo I remember'
